Your vision. Realized.

For us, photography is more than our business – it's our passion. And we believe we have a responsibility to the talented artists who push our industry forward.

That's why in 2004, we announced our grants program. Our goal is to enable photographers, filmmakers and content creators to bring attention to significant social and cultural issues, as well as to take new and inspiring strides in creative work.

Grant recipients are selected by a diverse and distinguished panel of independent judges renowned in the field of photography and communications. Many have directed and edited photography for some of the most celebrated publications in the world, are artistic leaders at award-winning creative agencies or are celebrated photographers themselves and their involvement elevates each of our competitions.

Getty Images Grants 10th Anniversary

In 2014, to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the launch of our grants programs, entries for three of our grants – the Grants for Editorial Photography, Creative Grants and the Contour by Getty Images Portrait Prize – as well as our Emerging Talent Award, will all open simultaneously to applicants from April 1, 2014 and close on May 15, 2014 by 11:59 p.m. GMT (London time).

Getty Images Grants and Lean In Collection

In celebration of our newly launched Lean In Collection we are expanding our grants program to include two new grants, one within the Getty Images Creative Grants and one within the Grants for Editorial Photography program.

A portion of proceeds from the Lean In Collection will go toward the creation of these two grants for images showcasing female empowerment and to supporting the mission of Lean In.

Learn more about the Getty Images Creative Grants here and the Grants for Editorial Photography here.

The Lean In Collection is a library of images devoted to the powerful depiction of women, girls and the people who support them. Jointly curated by Getty Images and LeanIn.Org – the women’s empowerment nonprofit founded by Sheryl Sandberg – the collection features over 2,500 images of female leadership in contemporary work and life.
